May I be vain and have an “About Me” page? Too bad.
You have no say.
I’ll start with the basics.
Hi, I’m Emily. I have brown,
curly hair, hazel eyes, and a crooked pinky.
I was an Aquarius…I’m not sure what I am now nor do I care. I would tell you my blood type, but I have no
idea what it is neither.
I go to school at a university that definitely surpasses BYU
(sorry, cougar fans). That celestial
place on earth would be BYU-Idaho. No, unlike
half of the students there, I don’t go there just because I didn’t get accepted
to BYU. In fact, I was accepted into
both. During my last few months of high
school, I was torn between the two, but for some reason, I got a better feeling
when I considered Idaho. I didn’t
understand why BYU-I felt like a good idea until I got there. I don’t regret my decision at all.
I now have the greatest friends, including my roommates (Beth and Melina) and "the guys" from my Fall FHE group.
I have just about the coolest family in the world. My parents have a marriage I dream of having one day. My siblings are the only people I know who can get under my skin, but I tolerate them enough to enjoy their company. They’re a crazy bunch, but I fit right in. They never cease to make me laugh. And of course, my family would not be complete without Maggie, the love of my life.
I guess I should actually start talking about myself...I’m currently an English education major. I say “currently” because it may change. I nerdily love the English language. It’s one of the few passions I have. Yes, I will correct your grammar every now and then,
and yes, I will edit/revise your papers…for a small fee.
Some of my other passions are ones that I have developed
recently. I started running not too long
ago. I’m still horrible at it, but I
love doing it nonetheless. After attending
some dance workshops on campus, I decided that I really love dancing. I’m going to take a social dance class this
Fall, and quite frankly, I’m dang excited for it. I love learning, deep thinking, and
intelligent conversations.
I’m
passionate about music, but that doesn’t mean that I’m talented; I just love
it. Like every other good Mormon girl, I
play the piano. My favorite genre of
music is what I call “eclecticism.” It’s
basically whatever I choose to listen to.
I have a wide range of taste.
Some days, I prefer folk music; others, I prefer metal. I occasionally listen to British rap…occasionally.
I love trying new things which includes just about
anything. I haven’t made it very far in
the world, but I love experiencing new stuff (for lack of a better word). I have a bucket list with items
that I try to mark off as often as I can.
I have yet to ride in a taxi or donate blood.
…one day.
…one day.
So…that’s me, Emily
Josephine Bardin. I'm crazy, psycho, weird, and whatever else you want to call me. I try to be comfortable admitting it all.
